On the way to my next big destination in Ohrid, Macedonia, I stopped for a couple of days in Korce. Once again, I became fast friends with the owner of my hostel, Ilir. The day after I arrived, we went hiking up one of the taller mountains close to Korce. He was very helpful to me, giving advice on where to look for my various needs. Ilir’s friend, Marcel was also so nice to me, and we had a great time hanging out.

On my third night, there was a spring equinox festival. In the streets there are many people lighting fires and sharing drinks, singing and dancing as well. I didn’t know any words, but it was still great fun.
